SOTWELL

"SOTWELL, a parish in the hundred of Moreton, county Berks, 2 miles N. of Wallingford, its post town. The village, which is of small extent, is situated near the river Thames, and is wholly agricultural. The living is a curacy annexed to the rectory of Wallingford, in the diocese of Oxford. The church is dedicated to St. James. The parochial charities produce about 10s. per annum. B. Hezel, Esq., is lord of the manor."
